Mob Psycho 100 Season 3: Release Date, Trailer & More

Season 3 of Mob Psycho 100 is one of the most underrated yet anticipated anime series of this year, eagerly anticipating its third season. Mob Psycho 100 has returned in a major way. Season 3 of Mob Psycho 100 will be published exclusively due to popular demand. The first season of the program premiered on June 11, 2016, exactly five years ago. The famous anime series’ second season debuted two years ago on January 7, 2019. However, nothing has been heard in the previous two years concerning the third season of Mob Psycho 100.

The third season of the show was even more anxiously awaited than the previous seasons. Some people believed the concert was finished! However, we are all aware of how popular the series has been in recent years. The creators must not let their supporters down.

Mob Psycho 100’s third season, on the other hand, has been confirmed. Fans are happy that  Season 3 of this Mob Psycho 100 series has finally been revealed, even though the third season seems to be the series’ last season.

The Plot Of The Anime

Shigeo Kageyama is a Mob student who is in one word, a wallflower. He is the focus of Mob Psycho 100. Despite his plain look, he is a dangerous esper with tremendous psychic power. He spends his life with the fear of losing his power which makes him try everything to prevent losing control of this power.

Mob is working as an assistant to a gang leader, Reigen Arataka, who considers himself to be somewhat of a clairvoyant, to learn how to use his abilities. Mob desires to be like everyone else and to live an entirely normal life, but a slew of difficulties pursues him. His emotions are bubbling up inside him until he cannot control himself anymore and wants to destroy everything, that is until he meets Claws.

Season 1 Of The Mob Psycho 100

Kageyama Shigeo, often known as Mob-Kun, has very strong supernatural talents but refuses to use them. Talking about Mob-Kun, he is the typical high school sophomore who has relatively little presence. Except for the fact that he is a very strong esper, he is the bashful kind, the ultimate pushover, has a bad body, and doesn’t have attractive overall characteristics.

Mob-Kun first appeared as the series’ principal comic performer, Reigen, the series’ deuteragonist. They presumably met with Mob-Kun years ago, seeking advice from Reigen since the former lacks total control over his mental ability. After establishing that he was the actual article, Reigen suggested that he educate Mob-Kun on how to use his powers, thus he became the boy’s master with the explicit intention of taking advantage of Mob- Kun’s gullibility. Despite Reigen’s ingenious reasoning, Mob-Kun grew up to be very responsible and only uses his powers when his master allows him to. The season ended with the fight between Scar and Reigen ending and everybody continuing with their daily lives. However, the post-credit scene gave us enough suspense to prepare us for the second season.

This season had a total of 12 episodes. The first episode of the first season aired on 12 July 2016. The 12th and last episode of this season was released on 27 September 2016.

Mob Psycho 100 Season 2

While the adventures of Mob Kun in Season 1 centered on his quiet personality, in Season 2 we follow Mob as he attempts to drastically transform his lifestyle. He has a small crush on another woman, works hard to enhance his body, demands his working rights from Reigen, stands for school president, develops friends, and even resolves to run a marathon and tells himself that if he wins, he would ask the girl of his dreams out (he doesn’t).

Up to episode 8, we get a cynical take on the conventional shonen format: the person strives hard to change and improve his lifestyle. He isn’t competing against anybody, and he doesn’t have a formidable opponent to overcome, yet he doesn’t give up on himself – he develops. However, this all happens just until Episode 8.

Episodes 9-13 are metaphorically the death of the show’s content. There are still the show’s underlying themes, but instead of seeing Mob’s progress as a human being, we’re going back to him using what he has as a given (his supernatural talents) to fight some almighty person who, of course, he would easily kill and win in the end.

The first episode of this season premiered on 7 January 2019. The last and 11th episodes of the series ended on 1 April 2019.

Mob Psycho Season 3: What To Expect

We’ve seen a lot of conflict between Mob and Claw in the last two seasons. Toichiro also pursued Reign, which irritated Mob. Mob develops his abilities and escapes Toichiro’s grasp. The series’ third season is expected to reveal more about Mob’s personal life. We’ll surely see more of Mob’s academic life as he prepares for his final test. The mob is likely to declare his affections for Tsubomi as well. The first two seasons already covered the majority of the manga. The anime is supposed to contain various new and fresh aspects that were not present in the manga.

Mob Psycho Season 3: Other News

Despite Mob Psycho 100’s continued success, season 3 seems to be the series’ last season. So far, the anime has been a remarkably faithful adaptation of the fabulous manga. The manga finished in 2017 after 101 chapters were collected in 16 volumes. Because the first two seasons of the Mob Psycho 100 anime adaptation covered 91 of those chapters, season three will focus on expanding on that foundation. Although the anime technically follows the original story, such adaptations are seldom well-received by fans, who prefer anime to be true to its source material. Time will tell, but Mob Psycho 100 season 3 will very certainly be the series’ last season.

Mob Psycho Season 3: Trailer

Season 3 of the anime was teased with an amazing illustration and wacky trailer. The trailer dropped on youtube earlier this week surprising us all. Even though it was a good surprise, it seems clear from the trailer that the anime will be adapting the manga and hence could end with this season, although no such announcements or indications were given.

The supposed trailer is not much of a trailer. It is more of the announcement of the third season, but still, we are very excited about it.

Mob Psycho Anime: Cast and Characters

Since the cast and characters seem similar from the previous seasons and there are no apparent changes yet, if the 3rd Season starts production soon, there is a surety that the cast of the previous season will remain the same and no changes will ensue. And in that case, Kyle McCarley will return as Mob, Chris Niosi can be seen once again as Mob’s false mentor Reigan, and Michael Sorich will return as Dimple, the soul mate of the Mob. Max Mittelman will play Ritsu, who is the younger brother of the protagonist Mob, while Ryan Bartley will most likely play Mob’s sweetheart, Tsubomi.

Erik Scott Kimerer, spoken by Patrick Seitz, and Cherami Leigh will be playing Teru, the enemy turned friend,  Musashi, Club president and Tome respectively once again.

Takahiro Sakurai, Akio Otsuka, Yoshimasa Hosoya, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, and Shin-ichiro Miki are among the anime series’ Japanese cast members. The same cast members are anticipated to return for the third season as well.

Final Thoughts

Mob Psycho 100 might be described in a million different ways. One single word is enthralling. How could it not be? It was created by the same person who created One-Punch Man, one of the most talked-about programs of 2015. And yes, when it comes to the artwork and aesthetics, it’s difficult to overlook Mob Psycho 100’s creative approach. It has a distinct manga style and a high level of quality. When things become serious, the artwork and gritty cinematography truly shine. Body motions are never hampered in the program since the character designs are basic enough to prevent this.

Finally, the 3rd season of Mob Psycho 100 has been confirmed, with the third season set to debut in the second half of 2022. We should learn more about the Season 3 of this series release date in the coming months. We don’t think it’ll be launched in April 2022 since we’d have a nice trailer by now.
