“I was thrilled to find out more about Guy in the follow up to Heroes Live Forever. One of my favorite things about Chris Karlsen's writing style is she tends to address the modern day questions that pop into my head when Shakira finds herself traveling back in time. The fact that she made Shakira a strong minded, intelligent woman was very appealing.”

“Time travel and ghosts don't have to make sense. Love the fantasy love affairs, drama of time travel, poignant loss, victory of success. Lots of humor. I love a ghost that loves rock and roll. In this three book set, random events get wrapped up pretty well in the end. Loves the characters and that they found true love in the end. ”

“I read all three of the wonderful stories in the set. Heroes Live Forever is a unique love story filled with twists and turns that have the reader's heart going out to the hero and heroine as they go through the heartbreaking moments and the happy moments. It the story of how love can survive anything. Journey in Time embodies the excitement, romance, and danger of Medieval England when the hero and heroine are suddenly thrust back in time. The period is brought to life for the reader: the sights, the smells, and the people. It was especially interesting to see real historical figures seen through the eyes of the heroine and the extraordinary truth of the hero revealed. Knight Blindness is a most unique time travel romance. Stephen Palmer, the hero is a medieval knight. Instead of taking the heroine back to his time, he is brought forward to ours. He's not just brought forward but he arrives seriously injured and must learn to function in a world he has no context for, all the time being hunted by the enemy knight that wounded him and came forward at the same time. One saving grace for Stephen is Esme, his tutor.”

“What a great read. It was amazing how Stephen (the hero) adjusted to being blind in a new century.(For him.) I learned a tremendous amount about the courage and resolve of individuals who have lost their sight. The story took me through Stephens adjustment to a new century and his determination regarding his situation. Really an enjoyable read about his courage and those around him. This type of book ends up as a TV series it's that good. ”

“This newest novel just assured me that I am an avid fan of Ms. Karlsen! I was pretty sure of it before, but I know so now :) She's taken off in a new direction with this series, and I was full of giddy goosebumps while I took the journey. Be certain that you are paying attention. This one is a delight from start to finish! ”

“I was honored to be a beta-reader, and I'm telling you this book is so good you'll have a hard time doing anything else, except read, until you've solved the mystery with Detective Bloodstone. I might add he's a bit of a hunk too! P.S. I bought a copy to have as my own because it's that good. And I like to re-read my favs. ”

“The three novels in the Knights in Time boxed set deal with time travel in one way or another, either backward or forward. My favorite was Journey in Time when Shakira, a modern-day barrister, ended up back in the 14th century. It was easy for me to put myself in her shoes--I can't imagine a worse time/place to be a woman than medieval England, and Karlsen effectively covers much of what someone would have had to go through. You can tell the author did her research--lots of great detail. I enjoyed all of these books immensely and highly recommend them. ”

“This is a romantic story of a love through the ages. A knight is given a second chance of life and love. As a ghost he falls in love with Elinor who has inherited his ancestral lands. It is a delightful tale with romance and humor. It was hard to put down. I highly recommend it. ”

“Ms. Karlsen writes a gripping tale of two Knights transported forward through time and forced to adapt to modern, strange and foreign times. Each handling their situations differently. One blinded in battle, the other blinded by his desire to find a way back. Even though the second Knight, Marchand, isn't the nicest person, Ms. Karlsen has you still caring for the pompous guy. Stephan on the other hand is sexy, strong, and very likeable. Esme is asked to help Stephens adjust to being blind but she thinks he's bonkers. When the truth is revealed their friendship turns to passion. I've read many of Ms. Karlsen books and this is my favorite. Keep writing and entertaining all of us! ”

“This is my first time travel book and the first time I've read this author. I was intrigued by the concept of a Knight being transported into this century and being able to adjust even with the handicap of being blind. I truly enjoyed this book and will go back and read her other books ”

“Loved this wonderful time travel romance! Shakira is one of my favorite female characters- she's smart, beautiful and doesn't take crap from anyone. It's obvious Karlsen has done her homework in regard to the historical aspect of the book- I loved how Shakira's viewpoint made me feel as though I was there, experiencing the 14th century as a contemporary woman would. This is a great follow up to Heroes Live Forever. Read it, buy it. I know you won't be disappointed. ”

“I read Chris Karlsen's first book 'Heroes Live Forever' at the insistence of a friend. I really had no interest in time travel. Boy! Was I surprised! Now I've read 'Journey in Time' and just like Karlsen's first book, I was totally involved with her characters. I not only liked them, I also learned through them. Karlsen does her homework and I was the beneficiary.I hope there is another book soon. ”

“As with Karlsen's other time travels, this one brings the medieval world to life. It is fast paced and filled the twists and turns we've come to expect from her knight books. I especially enjoy the support characters who provide a lot of color to the story. In Time For You has something for everyone: romance, danger, interesting setting, good characters and even some interesting time travel theory.”

“Silk is a departure for Karlsen and I, for one, am intrigued! The novel begins with a murder that appears to be the start of something darker for one of the characters. The writing is quite a bit grittier than her romances (this story is not for the squeamish or the 'sweet romance' crowd) which is one of the reasons I enjoyed it. I love her nautical archaeology series partly because of her antagonists (she does them so well). Silk is no exception. But, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that the main character, a detective/inspector named Ruddy, is my new favorite nineteenth century sleuth.”

“Wow! Another great book by Chris Karlsen. I read Silk and thought that was the authors best book yet, but I was wrong. In Time For You was thoroughly enjoyable. Time travel with hunky Knights and throw in modern times you get an, exciting romantic story. When Electra and Emily find themselves thrown back to 1357 England I think they adapted quite well. Electra and Roger's relationship was developing in book 3 and Roger was going to propose when Electra disappears. Roger spends part of the book trying to get back in time to save her and bring her back. There is also a romance starting between Emily and Simon that I love and hopefully will continue in another book. This is a book that I couldn’t put down. Ms. Karlsen is an amazing writer and I recommend reading any of her Knights In Time books and also Silk. ”

“Elinor Hawthorne has inherited a beautiful home in Scotland. When her friend swore she had seen a ghost, Elinor hadn't believed her. That was the case until she saw the ghosts in two of them. One was named Basil Manneville, and the other Guy Guiscard. Their destinies were intertwined because one had died in the defense of the other in battle. Gradually, she grew accustomed to them, but one claimed her heart...Basil. All too soon, he realizes Elinor needs a normal life with a man who is flesh and blood, not a ghost who cannot touch, hold, and kiss her. With his heart breaking, he leaves her. A lifetime later, Basil is told that the soul of his Elinor lives on in another woman. He is given the chance to love her as a man, not a ghost. Will he take it? This was a wonderful romance. The hero Basil is gentle, kind, and protective. Lovely Elinor is a woman of her time in the 80's; she is independent and knows her mind. Their romance tugs at your heart and makes you smile. I was very impressed by this gem, and it goes on my keeper shelf. If you love Scottish romance, you will enjoy this! Very, very highly recommended! ”

“What can I say, but another home run! I hated when the story ended! I can not wait to read more about the amazing characters that have been created in the whole series? Chris is wonderful story teller. I sat and read the book in a weekend because I could not put the book down! I wish I had the talent Chris has to tell such great stories.”

“What a wonderful book. I found myself completely and utterly immersed in the world created by Chris Karlsen. I had my emotions tried again and again, feeling elated at times, broken at others, then complete by the end. The characters were well developed. So much so, that I could hear their voices so clearly in my mind that I could have sworn Basil or Guy were in the same room with me. I fell in love with these characters. I bleed right along with them, felt their pain and sorrow, and finally their victory. The setting was magnificent, and I will never again read a story about a knight in shining armor, but what I will think back on this story, because Heroes Live Forever. And lastly, the weaving of such an intricate tale of passion, denial, love, betrayal, and finally acceptance, was brilliant, and I loved the way Chris Karlsen pulled it off. ”
