On social media platforms, EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell condemned remarks by Israeli politician Itamar Ben-Gvir, calling them “incitement to war crimes” and urging sanctions as a priority for the EU agenda. Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant informed Austin that Iran’s military activities suggest preparations for a large-scale attack on Israel, as reported by Axios.
The international response has been swift. The European Union’s chief diplomat, Borrell, stated there was “no justification” for an Israeli strike on a Gaza City school. The White House echoed concern, while Egypt, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia condemned the attack. The Israeli military admitted to the strike but claimed it targeted a Hamas command center inside the school, aiming to minimize civilian harm. Hamas denied using the school for military purposes.
In a separate incident, an airstrike in eastern Syria near the Iraqi border killed at least five fighters from pro-Iran units. Security sources suggest the strike, carried out by a drone, targeted the fighters as they changed shifts at a checkpoint. America is showering Israel with all its strength.
