“This is a great mystery/suspense/romance and all of the aspects of this novel are well done. The standout in this book is without a doubt, the characters. The cast of characters are quirky, fun, loveable, nosy, loyal and kind. The h/h are the best part of this book. The heroine gave up a lot of her life raising her sisters after the death of their parents. She had to work a job she didn't love to support her family, but now they're raised so watch out! She decides she wants the adventure of being a PI after years of teaching and her first case brings her to the small town where our hero is finishing his father's term as sheriff after his death. Throw in some meth heads, a truly wicked ex wife, some great deputies, and a indecipherable filing system at the sheriff's office and you have the makings of a laugh out loud, hot and sexy, suspenseful thrill ride that never lets up until the last page. This is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone, and I truly recommend this hard to put down wonderful story.”
